IBEW Local Union #743 members working with union employers are provided fringe benefits unmatched by other employers. Furthermore, this allows them to enjoy a dignified retirement following a very productive and rewarding career in the electrical industry.

IBEW Local Union #743 members are concerned for their communities. Members contribute time and money to area food banks, the Reading Fairgrounds, the Police Athletic League (PAL), Toys for Tots, Township of Spring Bureau of Police, Bravo Company Soldiers Fund, etc.

Would you like to learn more? Apprenticeship applications are taken the first Wednesday of each month from 8 a.m. – 12 noon or from 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at 20 Morgan Drive (off of Rte 724) in Sinking Spring. In our five-year apprenticeship program, apprentices work full-time with a union contractor and attend school two nights per week. After they graduate to Journeymen, the learning doesn’t end. Our apprenticeship program offers journeyman training as well as apprentice training.

Apprentices and Journeymen participate together with their families in Reading’s annual Labor Day parade.

Their love for their country also prompts them to be actively involved in issues that affect our country, to aid in local political campaigns and to participate in activities at the polls on Election Day.

Find out how you can obtain rewarding work and give back to your community. Apply the next time applications are taken.
