Kicking Off October 1st, 2025 & Ending October 31st, 2025
Our ninth annual Awareness Makes Cents Campaign begins October 1st! All month long, we’re raising awareness about the importance of early detection and supporting local breast cancer survivors and their families.
Together, we can make a difference right here in Berks County.
Custom Piggy Bank Silent Auction
Survivors from Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County (BCSS) have created one-of-a-kind, hand-decorated piggy banks as part of the campaign. These unique pieces will be available in a silent auction, with all proceeds supporting BCSS.
- Bidding opens: Wednesday, October 1
- Bidding closes: Friday, October 31

- Opening bid: $10 (bids must increase in $1 increments)
- Pick-up only: Winners collect their piggy banks at our Keiser Boulevard branch

Campaign Events
Thursday, October 9 – FREE Mammograms
The Lackawanna Mobile Mammography Unit will be at our Keiser Boulevard branch (2609 Keiser Blvd, Wyomissing) from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Free for everyone, regardless of insurance
- Pre-registration required
- Appointments scheduled first-come, first-served
Wednesday, October 22 – Fresh Flower Sale
Brighten your day and support the cause! Fresh flower bouquets from Stein’s Flowers will be available at Riverfront’s Keiser Blvd. and Museum Road branches.

Thursday, October 30 – Fairy Hair Event
From 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Riverfront and Thanx Wig Bank will host a fairy hair event at Queen’s Café, located inside the lobby of our Keiser Boulevard branch (2609 Keiser Blvd, Wyomissing). In return for a donation to our campaign, you can have some sparkle and color added to your hair to jazz up your weekend!

Online Silent Auction Rules
Please Note: The pigs CANNOT BE SHIPPED. If you win, you will need to visit Riverfront at 2609 Keiser Blvd, Wyomissing PA during regular business hours.
Bidding begins at 12:00 am EST on Wednesday, October 1st and ends on Friday, October 31st at 12:00 am EST.
1. To bid on an online auction item, please enter your bid amount for the piggy bank of your choice. The opening bid on each item must be a minimum bid of $10.00. Each subsequent bid must be made in $1 increments. Any bids not in increments of $1.00 will be declared invalid and voided.
2. Once the auction is declared closed, the highest bid constitutes the winning bid and will be marked as such. In the event of a dispute, Riverfront FCU will act as the final authority.
3. The individual with the winning bid will be contacted via email to arrange payment and pick-up of their piggy bank at either Riverfront’s Museum Road or Keiser Boulevard branch location (piggy banks must be picked up and cannot be delivered).
4. Any piggy bank left unclaimed after 2 weeks will be offered to the next highest bidder and sold.
5. By submitting a bid for the online auction, each bidder agrees to these Online Auction Rules. Riverfront Federal Credit Union reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the Online Auction. All auction item purchases are final. No returns or exchanges are permitted. All items are purchased “as is”.
6. Riverfront Federal Credit Union provides no guarantees, warranties or replacement of auction items and is not liable for any personal injury or damage to property that may result from the use of the item sold.
