About Riverfront Federal Credit Union:

Riverfront Federal Credit Union was founded in 1948 as the RDG Reading Federal Credit Union to serve the employees of the Reading Railroad. Through the years, other organizations and companies were permitted to join RDG and to reflect our expanded field of membership, we changed our name in 1987 to Riverfront Federal Credit Union.

Additional growth came in 2008 when we were granted a charter amendment to allow anyone who currently lives, works, worships or attends school in Berks County, Pennsylvania or is a legal entity doing business in Berks County to join.

Systems Administrator

What you’ll be doing:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing hardware, software, network, and data communication support needed to maintain the efficiency of the computer systems installed to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Credit Union’s information and operating systems. They are responsible for the day to day support to credit union personnel by addressing questions and troubleshooting issues related to office automation products, personal computers, online application systems, user-based peripherals, and phone system.

  • Provides support to end users of the credit union’s computer hardware, software and phone systems by troubleshooting and responding to malfunctions and questions
  • Performs hardware and software installation, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair, internally repairing when feasible, otherwise coordinates with external repair services
  • Responsible for the management and creation of user accounts, including maintenance of end-user computer security
  • Installs end-user hardware and PC software, including testing and applying software upgrades and patches
  • Responsible for administration of backup and restore procedures for firewall, network and servers
  • Perform security scans and apply appropriate remediation
  • Log management and reporting of servers, workstations, network equipment and firewalls
  • Performs daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual computer system operations and backups
  • Monitors, diagnoses and remediates network and computer systems for errors or problems and performs corrective action when necessary, this may include coordination of hardware and/or software use and vendor contact and effort coordination
  • Keeps management and operational areas informed regarding data processing and phone system service interruptions

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Technical Equivalent
  • 3 Years’ Computer related experience
  • Working technical knowledge of networks, network protocols, operations systems and software, including Microsoft Operating Systems and disk encryption
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and information technology skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to comprehend, organize, prioritize and complete duties within stated timeframes
  • Able to work under pressure caused by deadline demands
  • Possess a positive attitude and desire to learn
  • Ability to be a team player within the organization as a whole.
  • Adaptable to change
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and operate personal or other vehicle as required
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
  • Ability to be bonded by Riverfront’s insurance

Part-time Teller

What you’ll be doing:

As a part-time Teller you will be responsible for providing personal and professional member service and for meeting member’s general and specialized needs in relation to our products, services and transactions.

  • Provide friendly, courteous and professional service to members, potential members, visitors and fellow employees
  • Handle a high volume of member transactions in a quick and efficient manner
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer and conduct daily reconciliation as required
  • Promote the establishment of new accounts by explaining the credit unions products and services to members or potential members
  • Process applications for accounts and services and open and close accounts as needed
  • Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of all credit union products and service, policies and procedure

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess and demonstrate adequate PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, which include but are not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office XP
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Be able to read, comprehend and speak the English language
  • The ability to be bonded under RFCU’s insurance carrier
