About the Program
Riverfront Federal Credit Union spotlights a special organization as a community non-profit partner every three months. Funds raised during the quarter from swag sales and transaction round up donations are donated to the community partner’s cause and help to spread their message of hope and positivity throughout the community. You can help too by purchasing small items like coffee mugs and tee shirts at our branches – we’ll donate the proceeds to our quarterly partner!
2024 Fourth Quarter Community Partner – Hope Rescue Mission
Riverfront had the opportunity to speak with Kate Alley, Lighthouse Executive Director from Hope Rescue Mission. Hope Rescue Mission and the LightHouse Women & Children’s Center provide services for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the homeless of Berks County with the goal of seeing them restored to a productive life.

As a community-focused credit union, Riverfront FCU is proud to support Hope Rescue Mission and the LightHouse Women & Children’s Center. Since 1894, Hope Rescue Mission has been a place of refuge for the homeless men, women, and children of Berks County. They offer residential programs so clients can work their way through to transition back into the community as productive and independent individuals.

Hope Rescue Mission gratefully accepts monetary donations or gently used clothing for their Thrift Distribution rescue/recycle program. They’re grateful for individuals, churches, organizations or corporations interested in volunteering and contributing their abilities to serve the most vulnerable population.
