About the Program
Riverfront Federal Credit Union spotlights a special organization as a community non-profit partner every three months. Funds raised during the quarter from swag sales and transaction round up donations are donated to the community partner’s cause and help to spread their message of hope and positivity throughout the community. You can help too by purchasing small items like coffee mugs and tee shirts at our branches – we’ll donate the proceeds to our quarterly partner!
2023 Third Quarter Community Partner – Berks Community Health Center
Riverfront had the pleasure of speaking with Karen Wang, MD, the new chief medical officer at BCHC. After working in private practice and as a school physician, she was most recently a Pediatrician at the Children’s Health Center of Reading Hospital. Dr. Wang serves as Co-Chair and Advocacy Committee member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Pennsylvania Chapter. Berks Community Health Center Events
Berks Community Health Center hosts Community Day events in August during National Health Center Week. Their calendar of events also includes free yoga classes, Wellness on Wheels health services held at various locations, mobile mammography screenings and free Tobacco Cessation classes throughout the year.
