About the Program

Riverfront Federal Credit Union spotlights a special organization as a community non-profit partner every three months. Funds raised during the quarter from swag sales and transaction round up donations are donated to the community partner’s cause and help to spread their message of hope and positivity throughout the community. You can help too by purchasing small items like coffee mugs and tee shirts at our branches – we’ll donate the proceeds to our quarterly partner!

The Camel Project

We recently had the opportunity to interview Pamela Gockley, founder of The Camel Project, and we invite you to watch the video to discover what makes this organization so unique.

The Camel Project

As a community-focused credit union, Riverfront FCU is honored to support the Camel Project and its founder, Pamela Gockley. The work the Camel Project is doing to end bullying-based violence in schools aligns with our core values of promoting inclusivity and creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone. We believe every child deserves to feel safe and respected in their learning environment, and we’re proud to support the Camel Project’s efforts in making that a reality. We look forward to seeing the positive impact the Camel Project will continue to make in our community and beyond.

Camel Project's Events

The Camel Project has two exciting events every year, the Street Art Festival and the Camel Trot 5k. Both offer opportunities to show your support. Attending these events is a great way to get involved and have some fun while helping to raise funds for a great cause. You can also participate by signing up to be a vendor or sponsor. Or volunteer your time to help with set-up, registration or other tasks at one of these events. Every little bit of support helps to spread the word about their mission and encourages others to get involved.

The Camel Project's Mission:

The mission of the Camel Project is to assist individuals and organizations in changing the culture of bullying and unacceptable behaviors that result in violence, trauma, and abuse.
